class=\"wp-caption-text\">Partial first-fix for the front door control unit<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The Paxton Net2 control unit for the front door needs surprisingly many connections:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A mains feed via a fused spur<\/li>\n<li>An Ethernet connection to link back to the server PC, for programming<\/li>\n<li>A connection out to the door, to lock\/unlock it<\/li>\n<li>A connection to the intruder alarm, for arming\/disarming the alarm via a key fob<\/li>\n<li>A connection to the door intercom, so that can also unlock the door (remotely)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Further connections, required but not yet installed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The external proximity reader<\/li>\n<li>The internal proximity reader<\/li>\n<li>The 24DC power supply for the door
