Week 8, Day 5:

  • More progress on the cavity walls, both inner and outer, including the installation of the┬áDamp-Proof-Courses.
  • There are strong winds (up to 50 mph) forecast for the weekend so some of the blockwork has been braced to help support it until the mortar cures.

The damp-proof-courses - the inner one will get joined to a membrane over the beam-and-block floor before the insulation goes over the floor

The "double damp" - two layers of damp-proof-course membrane, one immediately above the blue bricks and one just visible above the first block - which gives the option to bring the external ground level up to the top of the blue bricks to match the internal floor level
