Week 18, Day 1:

• A bright winter’s day – cold but dry, pretty much what you’d expect for February. All in all not a bad day to start installing the Structural Insulated Panels that will form the walls and roof for the second floor – apart from the cold wind.
• The main complication proved to be a problem with the starter motor on the delivery lorry bringing the panels from the factory (near Northampton). The crane and the installation team arrived for 08:00 but the panels didn’t arrive until 11:30.
