Week 42, Day 4:
- More progress on the zinc roofing though again restricted by the weather and slowed up by the fiddly detailing around the roof windows
- The photo shows the contrast between the fresh-from-the-mill zinc and the material that has been in the weather for just a week
- More plastering – now just one room left to finish (the ground floor shower room)
- Extending the oak flooring in the office on to the landing
- More wall tiling in the first-floor bathroom
- More electrical second-fix in the kitchen, now as complete as it can be pending the installation of the worktops (originally planned for today but now due tomorrow)
Week 42, Day 4
Zinc roofing is now just past the roof windows
Plaster scratch coat in the ground floor shower room, the last one to be plastered
