Video Summary, Weeks 10 – 20

Now the roof is on I reckon it’s time for another time-lapse video. I decided to mix things up a bit and post the view from the second camera which started recording in Week 10. Once the build is finished I’ll post the full videos from both cameras.

As before, the video is hosted on YouTube; it’s 1:22 long.

Sundays are excluded again but otherwise there’s a frame on the hour every hour during “daylight”. Compared to the main camera position this one struggles a lot more with facing into the sun which makes it more difficult to automatically define “daylight” so there are a few dark frames here and there.

I moved the camera to point a bit higher on 2016-02-17 to ensure it captures the whole of the final building.

Video Summary, Weeks 1 – 11

Since there will be no more building until the New Year now seems like a good time to post the time lapse video of the first 11 weeks of building. The video is hosted on YouTube – a shade over 2 minutes’ duration and 20 MB of MP4.

I’ve deliberately excluded Sundays but otherwise there’s a shot taken every hour during daylight (apart from a couple of days in early November when the camera stopped working). Sorry it’s a bit wobbly but that’s the camera pole moving in the wind.

Details of the camera setup and the procedure for grabbing the frames and turning those into a video are on the Time-Lapse Video Page.
