Week 27, Day 2:
- Some progress agreeing the precise specification of the membranes required to protect the zinc roof finish
- In particular, confirmation that it will be necessary to use a completely vapour-tight barrier on the inside of the Structural Insulated Panels to prevent any moisture from inside the house reducing the life of the zinc or the OSB within the SIPs
- ALUTRIX which is a combination of thick aluminium foil and bitumen looks like the best option – on a “warm roof” this needs to go on the inside, where it will also act as a really good air tight barrier
- More first-fix of the plumbing and electrical systems
