Outbuildings: Week 32, Day 2

Outbuildings: Week 32, Day 2

The main progress today was the plaster skim coat being applied to the Workshop ceiling – which was something of a challenge given the large area; roughly 80 square metres.

Rather a dark photo (despite the camera flash) of the Workshop, showing the newly-plaster-skimmed ceiling

The (rather smaller) Utility Room ceiling was also prepared for being skimmed tomorrow.

There was also a little further progress on the rainwater drainage – though the digger kept being diverted to load lorries carrying muck-away.

Outbuildings: Week 28, Day 3

Lots of rain overnight and throughout the morning, resulting in the large puddle visible in the Courtyard (and the pond elsewhere on the site that’s been dry for months is now holding a little water).

Given the weather, the build team concentrated on indoor work – installing plasterboard on the ceiling of the Workshop, which is roughly 2/3 complete.

The digger and dumper truck that will be used for excavating the drains in the Courtyard were delivered, but not used yet.
