Outbuildings: Week 32, Day 2

Outbuildings: Week 32, Day 2

The main progress today was the plaster skim coat being applied to the Workshop ceiling – which was something of a challenge given the large area; roughly 80 square metres.

Rather a dark photo (despite the camera flash) of the Workshop, showing the newly-plaster-skimmed ceiling

The (rather smaller) Utility Room ceiling was also prepared for being skimmed tomorrow.

There was also a little further progress on the rainwater drainage – though the digger kept being diverted to load lorries carrying muck-away.

More work on the rainwater drainage, picking up the previously-installed drainage pipework to the East and North of the buildings (which doesn’t drain to the rainwater tank) with new pipework from an inspection chamber near the house and through a further chamber, towards the location of the attenuation pond.

The Rainwater drainage has now been taken as far as the (temporary) vertical board, via the inspection chamber in the middle of the photo

Also some preparation for the plaster skim to be applied to the plasterboard ceiling (hopefully tomorrow) with the delivery of a few bags of skimming plaster and some scrim tape.
