A week after moving in, things are rather more settled and it feels a bit less like camping. The more confident and curious of the two cats visited the house while it was still under construction and quickly spotted I’d moved in and followed me. The other cat is about 10 years older, deaf and a lot more cautious and had to be moved in a basket, but he’s also now very settled. I used a Feliway Diffuser which I’ve used before when moving house; it seems to help the cats feel less stressed in a strange environment.

There’s more stuff to bring over from the caravan (there’s lots of storage in there and I’d used it all to good effect, so it’s taking a while to empty out) but the house is now “home” and it’s annoying to have to go back to the caravan for things I’d forgotten to move over.
