More people working on site today so things are progressing quickly.
The brickwork is starting to go up, initially for the solid (i.e. non-cavity) walls for the Garage, on the far left of the overview photo, while the insulation is being installed for the cavity walls.
Another delivery of 5,000 bricks – and another lorry-load of concrete blocks too.
More progress on the inner skin of cavity-wall blockwork. The walls visible in the photo constitute the full extent of the cavity walling, forming an ‘L’ shape. These are being taken a few courses higher, now the mortar in the lower layers has had chance to fully harden.
Delivery of the first lorry-load (5,000) of facing bricks. The cavity wall insulation boards, delivered yesterday, have been moved into the courtyard to make room for other deliveries so are now visible in the overview photo.
