With the brickwork and blockwork complete, for now, the bricklayers have moved on to other projects. More progress with the felting-and-battening on the north-facing Garage roof, which is more than half finished.
The brickwork and blockwork is now finished – apart from the external staircase (which is being left until later) so the bricklaying team moved on to clearing away their equipment and the offcuts of bricks and blocks. Most of the mortar spills on the concrete floor have also been scraped off and swept clean and the timber formers for the shallow arches over the garage door openings have been removed. In parallel there’s been more progress with the feltting-and-battening, starting on the north-facing Garage roof.
