• Preparation for the concrete floor slab, cleaning up the surface of the beam-and-block floor and laying a damp-proof membrane
• Those strange white shapes on the left of the photo are piles of insulation boards to go between the beam-and-block ground floor structure and the overlying concrete floor slab, which will get polished in some areas, tiled in others and covered in oak flooring in the more formal rooms
