Week 39, Day 1:

  • Lots more progress on the zinc roofing, with the lower (vertical) third of the north (curved) roof completed in one day
  • Some more work on the second-fix plumbing, in preparation for the tiling
    • The shower trays are already installed
    • The baths (x3) and some of the basins arrived today
  • Good further progress on the plastering
  • Further progress on the second-fix electrical – more sockets and the first of the down-lighter cut-outs

The zinc panels don’t stay that shiny for long – the panels on the south roof have already gone a duller colour after the first rain shower.

The hot water runs through a temperature regulator valve upstream of the wall-mounted mixer valve (out of shot), and the outlet from the mixer enters the bath via the “overflow”.
